Desktop Integration Suite Settings are not Retained when Desktop Integration Suite Client is Installed on Citrix-based Machine

On a Citrix-based machine, once the Citrix server restarted, the Desktop Integration Suite settings (e.g. auto check-out, auto check-in) are not retained. Desktop Integration Suite reverts back to default settings after the the Citrix server restart. Upon inspection of the following key in the registry:
. . . the settings found in the above key are removed after the Citrix restart.
