Goal

To provide troubleshooting hints for issues that occur during Run-time/Authentication/Authorization time. List documentation references, Trace/Debug and Tools, to assist in locating problems with Oracle Access Manager and Windows Native Authentication (WNA).

When using Oracle Access Manager with WNA, when end user authentication is attempted, there are two types of issues:

OAM Support has learned from experience that the majority of these issues are due to incorrect environment configurations for components outside of Oracle/OAM Support. All Support has is what is in the Current Product documentation and KM notes (Past experiences). There may come times when there are issues with the ktpass, knit, AD, etc, that OAM support may not be able to resolve, which will require the customer to utilize additional non Oracle resources to resolve.
