How to use the 'USE TEMPORARY INTERFACE AS DERIVED TABLE(SUB-SELECT)' checkbox when attempting to use temporary interfaces as a source Datastore for an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)11g Integration Interface ?

When I attempt to use it, the checkbox is always greyed-out
