Orasso Account Continually Getting Locked (Doc ID 1439996.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 30, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Application Server Single Sign-On - Version 10.1.2.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ORASSO database account continually gets locked. This causes the OC4J_Security process to eventually fail which then affects users access through SSO.

Error found in ssoServer.log:

Tue Mar 06 14:22:14 EST 2012 [ERROR] Orion Launcher DB connection pool creation error
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-28000: the account is locked

at oracle.jdbc.driver.DatabaseError.throwSqlException(DatabaseError.java:137)

An audit trail shows that the invalid logins are coming from the Oracle system account.

example of audit trail output:
SESSIONID:[6] "228887" ENTRYID:[1] "1" STATEMENT:[1] "1" USERID:[6] "ORASSO" USERHOST:[9] "<HOSTNAME>" ACTION:[3] "100" RETURNCODE:[4] "1017" CO
MMENT$TEXT:[92] "Authenticated by: OS; Client address: (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=<DB_IP_ADDRESS>)(PORT=<DB_PORT>))" OS$USERID:[6] "oracle" DBID:[9]
"903309384"

Changes
