Imaging Text Annotation is Saving on the Wrong Image when Multiple Windows are Open (Doc ID 1446740.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 27, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content: Imaging - Version 11.1.1.4.0 to 11.1.1.4.0 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When users open multiple images in different browser windows, the text annotations are saving in the wrong image.

For example:
A user is using PeopleSoft (or some other integration or url tool) and they open a voucher and select the Show Document button.  This opens a browser that has the image in the Imaging Advanced Viewer.  If the user returns to PeopleSoft, searches for another voucher, and selects the Show Document button again, the second image opens in a new browser. This loads the second image in the Advanced Viewer along with the first image.
When adding a text annotation to the second image, the annotation window opens, as expected.  However, when the user enters text, a second text annotation window opens directly over the top of the first one.
When clicking OK to save, the annotation is being saved to the first image, not the second one.
This does not occur with other annotation types.
