OID DIP 11g SSL Test Connection Fails With "Cannot connect directory server" (Doc ID 1447204.1)

Symptoms

Oracle Internet Directory (OID) with Directory Integration Platform (DIP) 11g synchronization profile being configured for SSL server authentication (mode 2).

When the profile is set to use SSL mode 2 the following is displayed:



The DIP keystore has been configured according to the DIP documentation and the root CA certificate for the remote server with which synchronization will be performed has been imported into the keystore. Likewise the remote server certificate store has been configured with the root CA certificate of the local DIP Directory Server certificate.
