Unable to Upload Documents in WebCenter (PS5) using Internet Explorer Browser (IE8 & IE9) (Doc ID 1447745.1)

Attempting to upload documents in WebCenter Portal Spaces using Internet Explorer browser does not work.

When attempting to upload files and clicking on the "Select files" link the browser is redirected to the Home Page or the last page accessed before the Documents Page.

If you wait for some time (couple minutes) before clicking the "Select files" link sometimes it works and brings the Pop-up window to upload documents. But it doesn't work most of the time.

Uploading documents works fine when using other browsers like FireFox.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login to WebCenter Portal Spaces using Internet Explorer (IE8 or IE9).

  2. Go to Documents in the Personal Space.
    Note: You can also reproduce the issue in the Documents Page of a Space.
