How To Prevent TSAM To Generate Event For Service Not Defined In Tsam Rules ? (Doc ID 1448995.1)

Last updated on MAY 19, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Tuxedo System and Applications Monitor (TSAM) - Version 10.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When defining rules for some services, event may be generated for services that are not defined in SVCTRIGGER.

For example, if server simpserv has 2 routines/services TOUPWAIT and TOUPWAIT2 then rules as following :

SVCTRIGGER=TA_SVCRNAM[?]=='TOUPWAIT':TA_MONEXECTIME>50:event(name=TOUPWAIT_LONG,severity=Warn,destination=tsammanager+eventbroker)

may generate event for TOUPWAIT2 even if no rule is defined for TOUPWAIT2.
