Missing Images On Set Custom Page Access and Content Presenter Folder View Using IE8 (Doc ID 1449708.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 01, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.3.0 to 11.1.1.9.0 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using IE8 to access WebCenter Spaces 11.1.1.3 there are at least three places that are missing images / icons that pertain to functionality.

For example:

  1. In UCM Content Presenter when you Browse the content you see the Groups Spaces as folders.
These usually have the + - icons to expand / collapse the folders however in IE8 you do not see it. However the actual functionality does work still. So moving to the left side of the folder shows it is clickable but there is no icon to make it obvious.
  2. In Settings on the Members tab select the magnify glass to search or refine the list of groups/users there should be a > icon to submit or refine your search.
In IE8 this is missing. However pressing the enter key allows this to work still.
  3. Similar to #2, setting page access on a page and selecting custom access settings, when you select to add access there should be a > icon as well but it is not shown in IE8

All of the above works fine in IE7 / Firefox.
No javascript errors shown on the pages.
