AQ Error Messages - "ORA-25228: timeout or end-of-fetch during message dequeue" (Doc ID 1450369.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 15, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle SOA Suite - Version 11.1.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

You're using the Event Delivery Network (EDN) in the default AQ mode.  At runtime, you notice a large number of the following error messages in your log files:

These messages are caused by the AQ database API that EDN uses - the API automatically waits and returns with this misleading timeout exception if there is no message waiting in the queue to be dequeued. This type of message shows up in the log if JDBCSQL debug is on. The message is harmless and can safely be ignored.  So how do you turn them off?
