WCC 11g User Authentication and Authorization Takes a Long Time Due to Excessive LDAP Group Querying
(Doc ID 1450967.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 21, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 11.1.1.5.0 to 11.1.1.9.0 [Release 11g]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Doing authentication and authorization via an external LDAP provider can take a very long time to complete. This can delay bringing up the WebCenter Content server (formerly UCM, Universal Content Management) page and performing functions within the WCC.
This can occur when there are a large number of LDAP groups or nested groups, or when a user is a member of a large number of groups.
In the Weblogic LDAP provider the "Group Membership Searching" option is set as "limited", and the "Max Group Membership Search Level" as 0; however, the LDAP searches still take a long time.
