Links To Documents In Webcenter Content 11g Is Not Working From Microsoft Office Document (Doc ID 1452504.1)

Symptoms

WebCenter Content (WCC) version 11.1.1.5

When a document stored in WCC is linked from a Microsoft Office 2010 document, the link does not work.

The WebViewable link, when clicked from Microsoft Office document opens the WCC login page.
Upon answering the authentication challenge users are directed to the WCC homepage rather than to the document.

The direct web-viewable link can be opened in a Web Browser as a workaround.
