Workflow Step To Approve For Publish Fails.. (Doc ID 1452810.1)

Symptoms

When trying to complete a workflow step, the following error message is seen in the UI:

"Cannot change workflow definition

This attempt to change the workflow definition failed. The most likely cause of this is a system configuration error. PLease exit the browser, login, and try the operation again. If the problem persists, please contact your system administrator."

Additionally, at the same time this error is shown in the UI, there is the following errors in the logs:

"[2012-04-18 08:54:14,257] [fatwire.logging.cs.db] Missing value for key column id in table Assignment
[2012-04-18 08:54:14,257] [fatwire.logging.cs.db]


[2012-04-18 08:54:14,257] [fatwire.logging.cs.xcelerate] [pagename=OpenMarket/Xcelerate/Actions/SetWorkflowPost] Error: com.openmarket.xcelerate.commands.WorkflowEngineDispatcher: StartObjectWorkflowProcess: com.openmarket.basic.interfaces.AssetException: Error: errno=-105 on call to catalog manager for table 'Assignment'"


Furthermore, there are messages in the log that indicate a problem with the Assignment table mentioned in the above messages:

"[com.fatwire.logging.cs] Results for Query SELECT * FROM Assignment WHERE cs_ownerid=1234532572834 AND (cs_isactive='y' OR cs_isactive='q' OR cs_isactive='a') cannot be cached as Assignment does not exist in system. Please note that the cache names are case sensitive"
