Cluster Members Exiting During Security Port Scanning
(Doc ID 1454350.1)
Last updated on AUGUST 04, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Coherence - Version 3.5.3 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
While doing a security scan on all Coherence cluster ports, the scan looks for open ports and sends in some data to probe for known vulnerabilities. A side effect of the scan is that cache members leave the cluster. If the scan happens to send some bytes that match up with actual member IDs, the member will leave the cluster.
