"ODI-3276: No valid repository alias is found" Signaled When Connecting To a Repository From ODI Console After Launching The ODI J2EE Agent On WebLogic As A Windows Service (Doc ID 1458542.1)

Symptoms

After launching the Weblogic and Weblogic Managed Servers hosting the Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 11g J2EE Agent as Windows service, the following messages is signalled on attempting to connect to the ODI Console:

ODI-3276: No valid repository alias is found.

On the ODI Console, if you click on the management link at the top right-hand corner the following message is signalled:

Unable to connect to the specified repository. Please select a different alias and try again.

Note that this issue will not occur if Weblogic admin and managed servers are started from the command prompt.

Furthermore, the following records may be observed in the Weblogic logs:
