Optional Boolean Element Problem With SOA Rule Engine (Doc ID 1459091.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 13, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle SOA Suite - Version 11.1.1.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When testing an optional boolean element in a composite's Business Rules, it errors with the following error message

The class 'com.oracle.xmlns.application5.rulestestproject.bpelprocess2.Process' has no member named 'input'. at line 11 column 3 in main SOA could'nt find the input element at all, even though the input has a proper value.

To make it work, the boolean element has to be made mandatory and once redeployed it works.  (When using optional string elements it works as expected)
