Getting HTTP Error 501 for GlassFish Grizzly Comet Application (Doc ID 1460103.1)

Symptoms

On Oracle GlassFish Server 3.1.2 with Comet feature enabled, some of the HTTP response seem to return HTTP Error code 501 (Method is not defined in RFC 2068 and is not supported by the Servlet API). And example of this is:

It is seen that the access log also register an illegal method like "ET" or "OST" while the actual method submitted are "GET" or "POST" respectively.
