How To Dynamically Set/Unset Session NLS Parameters when Connecting/Disconnection to/from ODI Data Servers (Doc ID 1462354.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 20, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version and later
Oracle Data Integrator on Marketplace - Version 1.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

The article applies to all releases of Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) like the current 12C as well as to previous releases.

It is now possible in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and forward to define ODI Data Server SQL commands which will be automatically executed when a connection to a Data Server defined in the Physical Architecture is created or closed.

Such a command can be used for altering and pre-configuring sessions (for example, for internationalization of messages or forcing implicit conversions) or in multi-tenant infrastructure where commands must be placed at connection time to access information of a given tenant.
