Unable To Update The Progress In The Database On Reindexing Collection (Doc ID 1464334.1)

Symptoms

A Collection rebuild is required if any new metadata tables are added to the Content Server or if the current collection is damaged. While the user executes the collection rebuild cycle , one of the common errors related to several services and tables is : 

Unable to update the progress in the database. Possible database connection failure encountered. Error message: (!csDbUnableToExecuteQuery,UscheduledJobProgress(UPDATE ScheduledJobs SET dSjProgress='\!csSjProgressReport...(!csDbUnableToCreateResultSet,QdocumentUpdatable(SELECT dDocName FROM IdcText2...Connection has already been closed.). java.sql.SQLException: Connection has already been closed..

All the table status is verified and is correct.

After every rebuild of collecton most of the documents are stuck in Genwww state .
