Customised Email Notifications Do Not Work After Upgrade From EDQ 8.x to EDQ 9.0.x

Information in this document applies to any platform.
After upgrade from EDQ 8.x to EDQ 9.0.x customised email notification templates are moved to a folder called oldnotification/jobs.
If the old template is copied from oldnotification/jobs to notification/jobs and associated with a job then when the job completes no email notification is received and errors like the following will be seen in the main0.log:
