Purpose
This article is a simple, Windows-specific document for installing a basic WebCenter Portal and it largely follows this primary installation knowledge base article:

Scope
These procedures were tested on Windows 2003 Standard Edition Service Pack 2 32-bit while logged on as the default local Administrator. The database is Oracle 11.2.
This document has been written based on WebCenter Portal 11g Patch Set 5 (11.1.1.6.0), please be sure to download the latest software (i.e. WebCenter Portal 11g Patch Set 8 (11.1.1.8.0)) and follow the same instructions.
You could find out some differences but the whole process is quite the same.
