NullPointerException from <commercecontext:getrecommendations> tag (Doc ID 1470999.1)

Symptoms

The server throws a NullPointer exception when calling the tag <commercecontext:getrecommendations> for some Recommendation assets.

The exception looks like this:

java.lang.NullPointerException

       at com.openmarket.gator.relationships.RelationshipManager.getRecommendations(y:1331)
       at com.openmarket.gator.commercecontext.CommerceContext.getRecommendationsFromID(y:30)
       at com.openmarket.gator.seed.CommerceContext.worker(y:2493)
       at com.openmarket.basic.seed.BaseSeed.doEndTag(y:2998)
