Last updated on FEBRUARY 20, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Virtual Directory - Version 11.1.1.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

attributeMapping from AD objectGUID to any attribute  doesn't show when doing a user search.

Example, if objectGUID is mapped to UUID the following symptoms occur:

ldapsearch -p 6501 -h HOSTNAME -D cn=orcladmin -w PASSWORD -b "ou=ad,dc=COMPANY,dc=com" -s sub -B "uid=USERNAME"

the uuid is not presented in the output.

However, if you query with a filter of uuid

ldapsearch -p 6501 -h HOSTNAME -D cn=orcladmin -w PASSWORD -b "ou=ad,dc=COMPANY,dc=com" -s sub -B "uid=USERNAME" uuid

CN=USERNAME,ou=ad,dc=COMPANY,dc=com
uuid= <UUID VALUE>
