Mapping AD objectGUID Does Not Return When Searching User Through OVD 11g (Doc ID 1474364.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Virtual Directory - Version 11.1.1.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

attributeMapping from AD objectGUID to any attribute  doesn't show when doing a user search.

Example, if objectGUID is mapped to UUID the following symptoms occur:

ldapsearch -p 6501 -h myhost.us.oracle.com -D cn=orcladmin -w welcome1 -b "ou=ad,dc=oracle,dc=com" -s sub -B "uid=ema2"

the uuid is not presented in the output.

However, if you query with a filter of uuid

ldapsearch -p 6501 -h myhost.us.oracle.com -D cn=orcladmin -w welcome1 -b "ou=ad,dc=oracle,dc=com" -s sub -B "uid=ema2" uuid

CN=Ema2,ou=ad,dc=oracle,dc=com
uuid=f936fe3730bd41998d6d3cca2212b1a5
