Last updated on AUGUST 21, 2021
Applies to:
Oracle GoldenGate Veridata - Version 3.0.0.6 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Veridate compares a single space char differently on db2 and oracle so identical rows are being reported as out-of-sync.
field is char(1) on oracle.
character(1) on db2.
for rec X, if I SELECT * from tab where field z = ' ' (one space), the record is returned from db2 and oracle.
When I run a compare, veridata shows the oracle value as NULL and the record fails comparison.
