WebCenter ‘mail-mini-view ‘ Taskflow Gives JSP Error Page (Doc ID 1481994.1)

Symptoms

In a custom WebCenter portal application in Oracle WebCenter 11.1.1.5 the out-of-the-box “mail-mini-view” taskflow has been used to expose email functionality.

Following chapter: 35 Integrating the Mail Service of the Developers Guide that shows how to integrate the Mail service in a WebCenter Portal application:


Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Add the email taskflow to the page (at runtime) from the resource catalog.
  2. Click login on the email porlet.
  3. The emails are shown.
  4. Open a random email by clicking on it, message shows in popup.
  5. Click on “Reply”.
  6. JSP error is displayed:
    Request
    URI:/intranet2.0/oracle/webcenter/collab/mail/view/jsf/fragments/GenericException.jsff

java.lang.IllegalStateException: <f:view> was not present on this page; tag
oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.unfiled.taglib.layout.UnifiedPanelGroupLayoutTag
