WebCenter Spaces: Search Result Navigation For Spaces Management and Space Events Continues Indefinitely. (Doc ID 1485909.1)

Symptoms

Navigating through the search results for the Spaces or events, if a search contains more than 5 results, the navigation controls continue indefinitely and the displayed results stay the same.
The expected behavior is that different results are displayed when navigating to the next group of results. In addition, the ‘next’ button should be grayed out when reaching the final result page.

When performing a search in WebCenter Spaces, get hits on the items in various categories (lists, spaces, documents, users, events, etc).

Step to reproduce the issue: NOTE: The following testcase represents a fictitious sample. Any similarity to an actual Portal users,pages is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.

 

1. Create 6 WebCenter spaces that have similar user names like:

space1
space2
space3
space4
space5
space6

2. Login to WebCenter as <ADMIN> user.
3. Search for <USER>.
4. Note you will see 5 spaces in Spaces Management search results page.

space6
space5
space4
space3
space2

5. Click the Next link to view additional Spaces search results.
    -->It shows you are in page2 of people search results but is still showing the results of the first page of search results.
         It is not showing the additional users that should come with the search.

The same happens with Events results.
