How To Synchronize An Active Directory Entry to Two Different Subtrees in OID (Doc ID 1489125.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 27, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 11.1.1.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The purpose of this article is to explain how Active Directory - OID synchronization could be configured so each AD entry is synchronized in OID under two separate subtrees.

Example:

If we create a new entry "cn=myentry" in AD under the subtree "cn=users,dc=us,dc=ad,dc=com" , this entry should be synchronized to OID under ou=Dept1 and ou=Dept2.

OID should contain the following synchronized entries:

cn=myentry,ou=Dep1,cn=users,dc=us,dc=oid,dc=com
AND
cn=myentry,ou=Dep2,cn=users,dc=us,dc=oid,dc=com
