Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Middleware - Version 11.1.1.2.0 and later
Web Cache - Version 11.1.1.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

This issue would be best known in the planning phase for an upgrade of clustered 10g Web Cache (two or more nodes) to 11g Web Cache.
In this particular case the issue with Upgrade Assistant was found only after upgrading, scaling out, and testing Web Cache. Regardless, if you have or will be upgrading a clustered 10g Web Cache envrionment to 11g and are experiencing Web Cache crashing, this document pertains to you.

Requirements/Pre-conditions
1) You have clustered Web Cache Oracle Homes in a 10g Environment prior to upgrading.
Oracle Application Server Web Cache Administrator's Guide
    10g Release 2 (10.1.2)
    B14046-05
    3 Cache Clustering

2) Post Upgrade to 11g you are experiencing Web Cache crashes when accessing content through Web Cache
This is just one example and may not be the exact same in you case. Different stacks and error codes may be seen by different versions of Web Cache
