Hang When Deploying an Application Into 12.1.1 WLS

A J2EE application (based on Apache CXF / JAX-WS implementation) can be deployed into 10.3.6 WLS.
The deployment of this application into  WLS 12.1.1 hangs with the following thread :

"[STANDBY] ExecuteThread: '4' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'" daemon prio=6 tid=0x35bff400 nid=0x1a18 runnable [0x393de000]

The following warnings are logged referencing beans.xml   :

schema_reference.4: Failed to read schema document 'http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-2.0.xsd', because
1) could not find the document;
2) the document could not be read;
3) the root element of the document is not .

 The beans.xml is a specific configuration file used by the application which is referenced in the web.xml of the application Web Module.
