The PopUpCalendar Does not Populate Date Fields (Doc ID 1492347.1)

Symptoms

Date strings are not populating in a date field after picking a date for the field using the PopUpCalendar.  If the field already has a date in it and a new date is selected, then the field is blanked out and doesn't contain the new value nor the old value.  This happens on the checkin page, search page, or any page which uses date fields and the PopUpCalendar.  No javascript errors appear in the browser when this happens.
