Announcing the general availability of Oracle Forms and Reports support in Oracle Virtual Assembly Builder (OVAB). This support can be enabled in OVAB 11gR1 (188.8.131.52.0) release via Patch #14534983.
OVAB makes it possible for administrators to quickly configure and provision entire multi-tier enterprise applications onto virtualized and cloud environments. It provides a framework for automatically capturing the configuration of existing software components and packaging them as self-contained software appliance, composing configurable blueprints of multi-tier application topologies called assemblies and provisioning those onto a pool of virtual and cloud resources with minimal user input.
This patch contains following changes:
- A new plug-in for Oracle Forms
- A new plug-in for Oracle Reports
- Enhanced Oracle HTTP Server plug-in to support Oracle Access Manager and WebGate configuration
- Bug fixed Oracle WebLogic plug-in
The Forms and Reports OVAB plug-ins/extensions extend the functionality of the core OVAB WLS plug-in to examine Forms and Reports applications and configuration residing in the Forms WebLogic servers, Reports WebLogic servers and Oracle Instance to create and deploy assemblies containing Forms and Reports appliances.
