OID 10g ASR Based Replication Suddently Stops Working With No Log Or Remtool Errors (Doc ID 1494435.1)

Symptoms

Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 10g using ASR based multimaster replication between two nodes.

Replication had been working fine.

Suddenly replication stops working.

No errors are reported in replication or OID logs, even with higher debug set (-d 4194304), showing only no (0 /zero) changes to process, e.g.:
