Goal
Explain how to restore a remote node agent installation, after a machine has been reinstalled, possibly as part of a disaster recovery scenario, to re-introduce it into an existing Application Server domain. This article assumes that a machine that was running a remote GlassFish Server node agent and instances has been rebuilt and has had the base GlassFish Server software installed on it in the same location as before.
This article applies to versions 8.1, 8.2, 9.x and 2.x but not 3.1.x which eliminated the node agent component.
