How to Add JVM Arguments to the WLST Command startNodeManager
(Doc ID 1499712.1)
Last updated on AUGUST 04, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 10.3.5 to 12.1.1.0Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
If we start the Node Manager process by the WLST command startNodeManager() (e.g., startNodeManager(verbose='true', NodeManagerHome='D:/WLS12.1/wlserver_12.1/common/nodemanager', ListenPort='6667', ListenAddress='localhost'
) it reserves around 25% of the available physical memory or 1G, whichever is lower. It is not possible to alter this memory allocation as the WLST command does not provide an option to specify the heap size.
You can check by monitoring the Node Manager process by using any monitoring tool (Jconsole, for example).
