Symptoms
Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) 11g 11.1.1.4 or higher.
Just noticed the following message in the OVD diagnostic log while performing validation of the IDM setup before a Fusion Apps installation:

javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Received fatal alert: bad_certificate
javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Received fatal alert: bad_certificate
However certificates in the keystores have not expired, as verified by keytool list commands' output.
