Custom Portal Does Not Find Spaces, Lists or Spaces Pages (Doc ID 1501627.1)

Symptoms

When using SES Crawler in a custom Portal then it does not find any hits for Spaces, Lists or Spaces Pages.
SES Statistics shows the following search:
-wc_serviceId:oracle.webcenter.community -wc_serviceId:oracle.webcenter.list
This means that Spaces and Lists content is excuded from the search result.

The documentation is inline with this:

The requirement is to have this crawler fully supported in a custom Portal
so that Spaces, Lists and Spaces pages can be searched successfully and the
hits can be clicked from the custom Portal search result.

Steps to Reproduce
==================
1. Create a SES Crawler to crawl Spaces

2. Use that Crawler from custom Portal

3. Use keywords that should find Spaces
Notice that the Spaces are not found.

4. In SES Statistics notice the following parameters:
-wc_serviceId:oracle.webcenter.community -wc_serviceId:oracle.webcenter.list
