502 Errors using OHS Reverse Proxy and mod_wl_ohs over SSL

Symptoms
502 errors are seen at the reverse proxy level leading to images or sections of the web page not loading.
The request is flow is:
Browser -https-> Load Balancer -http-> OHS1(Reverse Proxy) -http-> OHS2(via mod_wl_ohs)-https-> WLS(managed server)
There are no errors in the logs on OHS2.
502 errors exist on the Reverse Proxy OHS1.
