Symptoms

Created a custom WebCenter Portal Application and deployed it to a managed server in Fusion Middleware WebCenter domain.  It will not run and a variant of error below is reported in the logs:

Changes

A custom MAR deployment profile has been created for the application in JDeveloper (via Application Properties > Deployment > New > Mar File).
