CPU Is Not Reduced When Use Push Replication (Doc ID 1504544.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 13, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Coherence - Version 3.7.1.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

While using Push Replication, high CPU is observed on one of the coherence nodes.

Example :

When we try to save object using write-behind and push replication ( say siteA and siteB ) using 50 requests/sec for 60min. CPU usage on one of the storage node in siteA and B are not reduced while the others are reduced. The result is same even after 15hours of testing. If the test is done without push-replication the issue is not seen. If the test is done with write-through then the issue is not seen.
