Applies to:

Oracle Access Manager - Version 11.1.1.5.0 to 11.1.2.0.0 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

1) The WebGate installer informs the user "WebGate Server Configuration has been modified for WebGate

"Please restart your WebServer to complete the installation of WebGate"

2) After installation of the base code for the WebGate, the installation should be confirmed.

The confirmation is documented here

Here the guide indicates that the diagnostic URL should be used, which would exercise the webgate.dll

If the Webgate has been installed with the base installer AND patched without having had the installation verified ( by exercising the webgate.dll )

a crash of W3WP.EXE  is observed.
