Last updated on OCTOBER 09, 2018

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager for Fusion Middleware - Version 11.1.1.2.0 to 11.1.2.3.0
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g is installed on a server, for which there is a requirement to change the host name and/or the ip address of the server.

The correct steps to update the product configuration have been followed as outlined in:

Oracle Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide
11g Release 1 (11.1.1)

Part Number E10105-13
Steps To Change Host Name, Domain Name, Or IP Address Of Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Host
15.1
Changing the Network Configuration of Oracle Fusion Middleware

However, after performing the recommended steps the Fusion Middleware Console (fmwc) 11g is still showing the OPMN-managed system components with the old host name or IP Address.

Also note that Change Host Name, IP Address is only supported for Webtier components (Oracle Web Cache and Oracle HTTP Server).
