OAM 11g WNA Login Fails When Using Windows 7/2008 Clients in an Active Directory 2008 R2 Server Domain (Doc ID 1509275.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 25, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Access Manager - Version 11.1.1.5.0 to 11.1.2.2.8 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Oracle Access Manager (OAM) 11g has been configured for Windows Native Authentication (WNA) with an Active Directory 2008 R2 domain. Windows 7 or Windows 2008 clients are used to access the OAM WNA-protected site.

WNA authentication is failing, although the HTTP Header trace from the browser shows that a Kerberos ticket is sent from the client to the OAM Server for authentication.

The OAM Managed Server diagnostic log in TRACE mode shows the following "Authentication Failed" message with no additional detail:

Steps to reproduce

1. Configure OAM for WNA login.
2. Access WNA-protected resource: OAM error "User Account Is Locked Or Disabled" is displayed.
