Symptoms
When committing a batch with a custom Index macro that updates field values in the BatchPreCommit event, sometimes other index fields are cleared at the time of commit. The following error is sometimes displayed:
Error: 30028
The following error occurred while attempting to commit the batch:
[Batch failed to commit because a required field does not have an index value on page 1. Index name is Batch Origin.]
