Last updated on NOVEMBER 17, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Unified Directory
Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

Use OUD as DIP backend when to synchronize/migrate OUD 11gR2 with ODSEE 5.2.

DIP is used to synchronize ODSEE 5.2 data and OUD 11g R2 data via synchronization profiles by creating import/export synchronization profiles for users and groups.

Several synchronization profiles can be active at the same time.

This KM document should be considered as the first migration step between ODSEE 5.2 data and OUD 11gR2. It describes how to create a user import synchronization profile between ODSEE 5.2 users and OUD users.

Other migration should also be considered, but are not covered in this document -
- Customer specific schema
- Password synchronization
- ACIs
- Specific ODSEE features (for example - Class of Service (COS), Roles, etc.)
