Sybase Data Source Not Successful After Upgrading From WebLogic Server 10.3.5 to 10.3.6 (Doc ID 1525669.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 21, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 10.3.6 to 10.3.6
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When configuring a datasource with the LLR option enabled, if the specified database (for the LLR table) is located in a remote location, the server fails to come up with the following message:

The Server cannot boot unless all configured logging last resources (LLRs) initialize.

WLS is trying to create a table called "XXXHOSTNAME.DOMAIN_LLR_ADMINSERVER", where "root" is the DB user configured in the datasource. The user is actually "root" but since the connection is made from a machine 'HOSTNAME.DOMAIN' the final name is 'rootHOSTNAME.DOMAIN'.

This issue is reproducible only in a remotely located MySql Server or Sybase Server. The issue is not reproducible when using a locally located MySql Server Database to create the LLR table.
