Using the Imaging SOAP Call "/DocumentContentService/retrieve" Does Not Cause Image to be Cached in the Imaging Viewer Cache (Doc ID 1526384.1)

Symptoms

It has been confirmed that cache is not being populated when using the SOAP call "/DocumentContentService/retrieve".  Viewer Cache has been configured using the precache option.  Images that are viewed from the web client does cache correctly.

The business need is to precache all existing images in the system, therefore, a custom application is being created to complete this functionality.
