Symptoms

Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) 11g, e.g., 11.1.1.6.0.

Following documentation below for using oidcmprec tool to copy / reconcile Local Store Adapter (LSA) data from one OVD to another for High Availability (HA).

Oracle® Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide for Oracle Virtual Directory 11g Release 1 (11.1.1) Part Number E10046-08
Chapter 2 Understanding Oracle Virtual Directory Adapters
Section 2.4.1 Migrating Local Store Adapter Data

Oracle® Fusion Middleware Reference for Oracle Identity Management 11g Release 1 (11.1.1) Part Number E10035-05
Chapter 4 Oracle Internet Directory Replication Management Tools
Section 4.2 oidcmprec

All examples fail with the same error:

The OVD Guide also mentions that it will prompt for the replication dn password for both the source and destination directories, however there are no clear instructions on how to create a replication dn in OVD (which is typically only in Oracle Internet Directory/OID).
