Symptoms
Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) 11g integrated with Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11g versions lower than 11.1.1.7.3 Bundle Patch (BP).
OVD seems not to respect password policies violation / expiration such as the "Must Change Password at Next Login" password policy setting from OID.
A user with "password must be changed" flag set (pwdreset=1) can still login and search through OVD, but not through OID:
This also reproduces with OID 10g 10.1.4.3 as backend.
Note: The password policy attribute related is pwdmustchange, and the user entry attribute is pwdreset. Reference:
