Symptoms
SASL authentication has been configured as mentioned in:
Oracle® Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide for Oracle Internet Directory 11g Release 1 (11.1.1)
32 Managing Authentication
32.1.4 Simple Authentication and Security Layer (SASL)
But now authentication is not happening. It always fails with an LDAP 49 Invalid Credentials error.
For example, testing with the SASL Bind Using OpenLDAP ldapsearch client, that initiates SASL authentication by default, with DIGEST-MD5;
/usr/bin/ldapsearch -h <OID_HOSTNAME> -p 3060 -Y DIGEST-MD5 -U dn:cn=orcladmin,cn=users,dc=<COMPANY_NAME>,dc=com -b "" -s base objectclass=* supportedSASLMechanisms
