After Creating New OIM User, Recon/Ldap Sync To OID Node1, Then Renaming The User, OID Node1 Ends Up With Two Users (Both Old And New Usernames) While OID Node2 Only Got The Last/Corrected Username Replicated (Doc ID 1530810.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 12, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 11.1.1.2.0 to 11.1.1.5.0 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Created a new user in Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) and performed Recon / Ldap Sync to one of two Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11g nodes, i.e., node1 part of a two-node replication group.

Later realized that the wrong username was used, so went back and renamed the user.

OID node1 then ended up with two users, one with the old name and one with the new username.

In OID node2 however, only the latter (the corrected/renamed username) was replicated.

This can be seen with ldapsearch command line and in Oracle Directory Sevices Manager (ODSM).
